Eleanor Morton
Eleanor Morton is a Scottish stand-up, writer and actor who started performing stand-up when she was 18 years old.
Her latest Fringe show, Haunted House, received rave reviews and a Terrier Award
Eleanor is also well known for her online sketch characters like Craig the Tourguide, which have gained millions of views and fans such as Patton Oswalt and Spinal Tap’s Micheal McKean
Recently she wrote and recorded a show for BBC R4, ‘The Rest of Us’, with Welsh comic Esyllt Sears and Northern Irish comic Mary Flanigan, about overlooked figures in UK history.
As well as gigging all over the UK, Eleanor has provided tour support for Josie Long, Frankie Boyle, Stewart Francis and Lost Voice Guy.
Eleanor has written for The Newsquiz, and Radio 4’s The Now Show, Newsjack, Hypothetical and POV and among other projects. She has also been a panellist and writer on Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News, and appeared on Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra. She has a Masters in Screenwriting.
In 2024 Eleanor’s first book was published, ‘Life Lessons From Historical Women’, all about underappreciated women from history. Dawn French called it ‘Maddeningly Funny’
