Samson Kayo

Samson Kayo is a BAFTA nominated actor & writer, known for his appearances in Taika Waititi’s comedy OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH and in the Oscar-nominated feature F1 (Apple), starring alongside Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

Samson will be a series regular in Apple’s upcoming comedy series PROTECTIVE CUSTODY, from director Mike Judge, with Ben Stiller producing.

Samson voices the eponymous ZOG in the 2026 series for CBeebies. He has joined the cast of Netflix’s new animation, CHARLIE VS THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Kate Winslet, Nicola Coughlan, Kit Connor, Taika Waititi and Charithra Chandran. Samson also voices ‘Baby Bear’ in the Oscar-nominated family film PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH, alongside Antonio Banderas.   

He can also be seen in HBO’s HOUSE OF THE DRAGON. Further screen credits include roles in Kristen Scott Thomas’ film NORTH STAR, THE BUBBLE (Netflix),  TRUTH SEEKERS (Amazon Prime), DEATH TO 2021 & DEATH TO 2020 (Netflix),  two series of SLICED for Dave (which Samson also co-created and wrote), BLOODS for Sky 1 (which Samson also co-created), TIMEWASTERS (ITV2), multiple roles in hit sketch show FAMALAM (BBC 3), for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme and two Royal Television Society Awards. Other television credits include HORRIBLE HISTORIES (CBBC), DRUNK HISTORY (Comedy Central), MURDER IN SUCCESSVILLE (BBC 3), STATIC (BBC 1), YOUNGERS (E4), THE JAVONE PRINCE SHOW (BBC 2), WE THE JURY (BBC 2), THE ALIENS (E4) and HAILMAKERS (BBC 3).
